The renowned Sydney based artist Ken Done will discuss the themes underpinning his powerful and evocative series of new paintings for the exhibition ATTACK: Japanese midget submarines in Sydney Harbour.

Ken Done is well known as a painter of Sydney Harbour and is highly respected in both Australia and Japan.

With the forthcoming 70th Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Sydney Harbour, 31 May – 1 June 1942, these important historical events have provided the artist with the inspiration to produce a culturally sensitive body of work exploring themes of empire, self-sacrifice, death, destruction and honour.
