Join highly regarded figurative artist Ann Cape for an intensive life drawing Master Class where creative approaches using tone and line, and an emphasis on interesting mark making will inform your work.

Participants will gain an understanding of techniques to interpret the figure and create form.

Materials list

• Willow charcoal (medium and thick sticks, some extra large if possible)
• compressed charcoal (choose a brand that is not too soft, eg. faeber castelle medium/soft are generally quite good, but all brands vary)
• charcoal pencil (soft 6B or 8B)
• kneadable rubber (not the grey one if possible)
• plastic eraser (from supermarket)
• fixative
• paper – bring plenty, not too small, best not less than 50cm x 70cm approx
• clips and board
