After 11 years abroad Hilda Rix Nicholas returned to Australia in late 1918 and lived and worked in Mosman for four years. Relaxing into a welcoming social and art scene, she gathered around her a new group of friends and acquaintances and participated in the bohemian past times of Sydney society. Join with exhibition curator Julie Petersen as we discover the impact Hilda Rix Nicholas’ artwork had on Sydney artists and critics and the stories behind her paintings and photographic archive from that time.
